  • Approximately $600 Billion in gifts means that there will be waste.
  • During the Holidays we produce an extra million tons per waste per week
  • Houses become filled with wrapping paper, Christmas cards, pine needles and packaging materials—–obvious stuff to recycle!
  • Most UPS stores will accept your “packaging peanuts”
  • Reuse everything possible; what can not be reused should be reycled
  • This includes: wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, boxes, decorations, cards and sometimes even the gifts themselves
  • Here are Christmas tree options: chip it for the garden, plant it, donate it as a plant for school or nursing home, or recycle it on the curb according to local laws.\
  • Begin the New Year with a clean house and a green conscience!
